brand introduction:
●Brand introduction: TUDOR
Rolex launched the popular version of "Tudor" in the 1930s. At that time, Rolex was implementing a European watch product promotion plan centered on the United Kingdom, but due to the high price, it was difficult for Rolex watches to enter the homes of ordinary people, and the weakness of Rolex watches in sales was finally exposed. In view of this, in order to expand the market, Rolex founder Geis Wilsdorf had a plan-let Rolex derive a popular version. The requirement is that the quality of the new popular version is the same as that of Rolex, but the price is as low as ordinary people can buy. The goal is to increase sales. In the end, he decided to split a part from his name and spell it out as the new brand name Tudor. The Chinese name of Tudor was originally Diao Tuo and later changed to Tudor.
At the beginning of the twentieth century, Britain has developed into the world economic center. In 1905, Wilsdorf crossed the ocean from Switzerland to London and founded a watch factory. At that time, one "Rolex" was not used, and only the words "W" were engraved on the back cover. W is for Wilsdorf, D is for Denison, a British partner with him. Wilsdorf is full of confidence in expanding the UK market. After the new brand came out, he linked his watch business to the British royal family. Tudor itself is the name of the British Tudor dynasty (1485-1603, experienced five generations of princes). From 1455 to 1485, the Lancaster family and the York family among the British feudal nobles fought for the throne; the family emblem of the former was a red rose, and the emblem of the latter was a white rose, so it was also called the War of Roses. Therefore, the logo of the Tudor watch also uses the emblem symbolizing the War of the Roses, but it has been modified by Wilsdorf to make it a bit like a shield.
